Abstract:Discusses the planning and design of golf course communities which include residential housing. Includes an outline of the design process and a discussion of design styles that produce different levels of integration between the golf course and the residential community. Discusses design issues for residential areas, including the site perimeter, lot divisions, road crossing, the design of the houses themselves, and the unique views provided by golf-oriented housing. Also briefly discusses executive courses as an alternative to full-length courses in golf communities.
