Abstract:Discusses the elements involved in renovating a golf course layout for the sake of modernization. Includes information on maintenance standards, beautification, safety, overall strength and length, increasing size and length of tees, re-arranging fairway bunkers, constructing new and much larger greens, planting and removing trees, addition of water hazards, removal of steep mounds and banks, creation of better practice areas, modification for electric carts and the installation of fairway irrigation.
